The trail starts by the Lake Bled. The first two kilometers are on a road in the direction of Bohinjska Bela, then it connects to the organized cycling trail along the main road. The access to it is well marked, so you will easily find it.

The cycling route takes you along the Sava Bohinjka River, past meadows, pastures, and cultivated fields, through forests, and along the railway line. The landscape constantly changes during the ride, so the route is interesting from start to finish. If you want a longer stop or a shorter bend, you can also visit one of the waterfalls in the vicinity, such as Iglica, Mošenac, Bezena, or Pirašica.

On the way, you will cycle past Bohinjska Bela, Nomenja, Bohinjska Bistrica and Brod and continue towards Stara Fužina and Lake Bohinj. Along the way, there are many pleasant places for a short rest, photography or a snack.

In the summer months, you can refresh yourself after cycling in the Sava Bohinjka or Bohinjsko jezero. The water is clean and pleasantly refreshing, and there are also several beautiful places to swim and relax by the water near the lake.

The entire route in both directions measures approximately 62 kilometers. At a moderate pace, you will need about an hour and a half with an e-bike for one direction; however, we recommend taking a bit more time for the trip and also taking breaks and exploring the places along the way.

The route is paved and mostly flat, but you will climb approximately 550 meters in elevation throughout the entire route in both directions. That is why it is suitable for both slightly more experienced cyclists and recreational e-bike riders.

If you are planning to go on a trip in the summer, we recommend leaving early, bringing enough water and sun protection. Above all, take your time – this trip is not only about the destination, but also about everything you will see along the way between Bled and Bohinj.
